I decided to post my weight loss program here, because I lost 27 pounds, so I apparently did something right. I'm not saying my plan is perfect. I still feel my eating habits could improve. But this worked for me, and maybe it could help other people. I get asked a lot what I did to lose the weight. So here's an explanation. But if anyone is looking for some secret miracle weight loss gimmick, they may want to look elsewhere. This is a sensible, realistic way of losing weight, and it really isn't all that difficult, although you have to realize that you will have good weeks and bad weeks, as far as weight loss goes.

Monday's weight - 132 lbs.

Today's weight - 129 lbs.

And this was after eating a big tapas lunch yesterday. And I haven't exactly been watching what I eat this week either, although I cut back on dessert and I started exercising again this week after a short hiatus.

Needless to say, I'm now below my goal weight. No, this is not a bad thing. But I can't really lose any more, or my skinny clothes will be too big. Actually, they are already a bit loose.

Funny...I'm now only 2 pounds over the weight I was in high school at the time I got my driver's license. And that has been the weight on my driver's license ever since.

It's the small victories in life...

Those of you who have been on my FL for ages know that I started a weight loss regimen back in January. Well, I haven't been very strict about it for the past few months...my weight has been hovering somewhere between 1.5 to 4 pounds above my goal weight for some time. And I actually accepted that, because I was pretty happy with how I looked. I look and feel much healthier, which is the most important thing.

However, I stepped on the scale this morning...

...half a pound BELOW my goal weight! I actually stepped on the scale twice, because I couldn't believe it.

I haven't really been paying much attention to my diet lately either, although I've still been exercising regularly.

I think a lot of this has to do with me being a nervous ball of energy, on account of the interesting changes going on in our lives. I've been jittery...fidgety...just overall tense.

I also haven't had much of an appetite, so I've been eating very small meals most days this past week. My normal appetite seems to have returned this morning.

So...it took a little over 9 months, but I'm there now. I don't think it ever took anyone so long to lose 26 pounds (excuse me, 26.5), but I did it! Finally!

Now I'm just going to have to work hard to keep it off.
