Some painting got done...not the walls, as we had hoped, but I painted the ceiling in the hallway. I figured it was a good idea, since our past experience has shown that even though we had no intention of painting the ceiling in the first place, it became necessary once the walls were painted. It just shows how old and dingy the ceiling is.
We also have what I like to call a cubby - a little alcove by our bedroom door where we have a built-in cabinet. I painted the ceiling there too.
It took about 2 hours altogether. Lance primed around the windows.
We're still in the process of cleaning up. Since the hallway ceiling is still a bit wet, I left the drop cloth there. After dinner, I'll clean all that up, vacuum, take a shower, and then we can go pick up Reece. Most of the house is already vacuumed.
I'm going to Kathy's tomorrow around lunchtime. Just need to hang out. I want to bring stuff to make lunch, so I emailed her and asked her if she wants me to bring pancake fixings or soup fixings.
Oh, Lance passed a computer certification test today. This means one less class he has to take for his undergrad, and it means that much more money once he's a civilian, as long as he's working in his chosen field.
