Finger Puppet Theater
Work was full of the silly today.
I was cranky, as I have been all week. And my cubicle neighbor has been desperately trying to cheer me up all week, throwing candy at me and other such nonsense.
Today, as I was concentrating on some work I was doing, a tiny red spiky finger puppet appeared behind me and said in a silly voice, "Hello! Will you be my friend?"
I couldn't help but laugh.
I have a finger puppet too - a swashbuckling skeleton in his pirate cap. So I hoisted him on my finger and belted out a hearty, "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar, matey!"
And then Sigga joined in with her crazy 6-eyed finger puppet.
And thus - Finger Puppet Theater.
This is how we spend a boring Friday at Paychex.
