DAMN YOU, COMMISSARY! *shakes fist*
Every single time I have gone to the commissary, they have had Greek yogurt. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
So today, I actually had Greek yogurt on my list so I can make some tzatziki for tomorrow's Greek feast.
And today? No Greek yogurt.
And I already got the cucumber and dill, so I had to put that back.
So much for having pita and tzatziki. I got some feta cheese, so I'll make some Americanized form of Greek cheese pie using crescent rolls and feta. And I have Greek olives too.
So we'll have plenty to eat. I just had my palate primed for tzatziki. And I know I can make it with regular plain yogurt, but you have to strain it to thicken it. Too much bother. Too bad I couldn't find any ready-made.
