It's been a difficult weekend. A bad work day yesterday turned into a bad Friday evening, which turned into a restless night full of tossing and turning (and a lot of body aches), which turned into a bad morning.
I was stiff and sore when I woke up. Exhausted. But I remembered that I had bloodwork I was supposed to do for part of my physical from last week, so I drove down to the clinic to take care of that. I wasn't prepared for the long wait at the lab. I sat in the waiting room for over an hour. I was very hungry and dehydrated too.
By the time I got out of there, it was almost 10:30. I stopped at Emerald City Smoothie and grabbed a Guava Sunrise smoothie. Good stuff.
Lance and I also went to Lowe's, where he picked up edging blocks (which he is using right now to edge the flower bed). I looked at plants to plant out there, and I think I'm liking azaleas right now. And impatiens too, in various colors.
We also bought a new front door. When we went out shopping for a new storm door 2 weeks ago, we had to have someone come out and look at our door jamb, which has been severely cracked for awhile. Turns out that the door jamb needs to be replaced entirely, which requires us to buy a new front door. So we're nixing the idea of a storm door for now (even though the manager offered us 50% off the storm door). The front door we picked is much nicer than our current one, which is just a basic white steel door. The new one is steel, but has an eyebrow window at the top, which is the same shape window we have at the top of our front set of windows, and the shape of the trim around the garage door. So it will complement them nicely. The sample door they had in the store was bright red, but it turns out that they sell the doors primed, not painted, so we can paint it whatever color we want. But we'll stick with white. We just need to buy the paint and a door knob/deadbolt.
I just got up from a nap not long ago, although I don't feel like it was a particularly good nap. Everything has felt off kilter since yesterday. Things take too long or are too tedious or don't go right somehow.
I'm still not feeling particularly well. I don't think I'm sick or anything. Just tired and achy. And I've been in kind of a dark mood all day.
