Monday stuff
Today is Lance's birthday, although he is at work and then he has a webinar tonight since his term at Western Governors starts in a couple days. So I'm not sure how much of a celebration we get to have, especially since we're also getting ready to leave for Ohio on Wednesday.
I have a DQ ice cream cake in the freezer and he says he wants to grill burgers. Not sure what we're going to have with the burgers. I am trying to avoid having any leftovers, since I want to use up what's already in the fridge before we leave. So baked beans are out, since we always have some left over. Maybe I'll make some corn. And Lance has chips.
I have a webinar myself at 3 for my new job. I filled out the required paperwork last night and signed up for an AIM account. I actually hate AIM quite a bit. Thankfully, I only need to be logged into it when I'm working, but I'm still trying to play around with it and figure it out.
I had to do a write-up on a Renton neighborhood for a local real estate website. I'll be turning that in tomorrow. I've been having difficulty with this because there isn't a lot of information available online about specific neighborhoods in Renton...mainly just about the city of Renton itself. As a result of this, this project has taken way longer than it should have. I ended up just doing a write-up on the downtown neighborhood, since that's about the only area of Renton that I'm familiar with, as far as actual residential areas go. And there was more information available about downtown than anywhere else. I could pick any neighborhood I wanted, so this seemed like the best choice to me.
Tomorrow is going to be busy. I have to tie up some loose ends on a few projects I have going right now. I have to do a load or two of laundry, pack, get Reece's stuff ready to go for boarding, take care of some light house cleaning. I already inserted a Plant Nanny into my hanging basket outside, so I just need to take the wine bottle I set aside last night (I had to consume the wine first, of course...oh bother), fill that with water, and insert it in the Plant Nanny so that I don't need to worry about my basket wilting while we're gone. The forecast is showing dry weather for the next week. I have a potted arrangement outside, but it's called a desert mix, so I assume that will be fine. The stuff planted in the ground will just have to suffer. Not much I can do about that unless Lance decides to put the sprinklers back on timers again, and I don't think he'll do that.
Lance said something about coming home this afternoon to grab Reece and go for a run. I sincerely hope he does that, because my webinar would go much easier without distractions. And Reece is almost constantly distracting. She's napping next to me on the couch right now, but I fully expect that when this webinar starts in 30 minutes, she'll be wide awake and whining to play or go out or something.
