Lance got a lot accomplished yesterday. The kitchen/dining area is now relatively tidy and the guest room is clutter-free. I need to change the bedding, vacuum, and find places for a few stray items, but otherwise, we'll have it ready for his sister when she arrives next week.

The office is still a complete disaster, but he's going to work on that.

So vacuuming is on my agenda today. Then I think I'll be caught up with the housework.

About her visit - it's nice that the light rail just opened for business a few days ago. It will make getting downtown so much easier. I was taking the commuter rail downtown before on weekdays, which was fine, but doesn't end up near where I want to go. The light rail will drop us off at Westlake, which is right by Pike Place Market. So much more convenient.

I still have to put in my hours for Remilon today. At least 3 hours, but I hope to do more than that. And I need to browse the freelance job boards again. It's been awhile because of our vacation and then I spent last week trying to figure out the new job. But now I'm getting into a groove and I can look for more work. I can do up to 40 hours a week with Remilon if I want, but I would like to be on the lookout for other gigs to try and keep things interesting.

Farlis and I got together yesterday afternoon with our dogs and went for a long walk. It was nice to see her again. It's been several months since we last got together. Plus, it was nice to get the exercise. I've been doing a lot of walking lately. And I haven't been tracking my weight or anything (stupid me, I forgot to weigh myself last week before I changed up my eating plans), but I feel like I'm losing. And my legs and hips have certainly been sore with all the walking, so at least I'm exercising regularly, which is good for me.

I have plans with Kathy tomorrow to go to Wild Wheat for breakfast and then maybe spend the day crafting. She wants to work on some decoupage projects.
