The Nightmare is Over

I was released from the temp job today. I am, however, on the callback list, so when they need more people again in 2-3 weeks, I'm supposed to come in.

Hopefully I'll have permanent employment by then.

Despite the fact that it looked like we had a lot less work today, I still put in 10 hours. It would've been more, but I decided at 3:30 that I was leaving, and damn anyone who tried to stop me. It was my last day and I didn't care anymore.

I was stuck in awful traffic getting home, but at least had enough energy to stop into the grocery store and pick up a bag of steak fries to make with dinner (chicken fillet sandwiches) and I got some freshly made Greek vegetable salad at the deli. Mmmmmmmmm.

I love this grocery around the corner. While I find that our basics are pretty expensive there as opposed to the commissary, it's nice to know that I have the option of stopping there to pick up some freshly made chinese entrees or a roasted chicken with all the fixings or whatever. Since we're not going out for V-Day, I may stop there and pick up dinner for us. They have a lot of options.

Tomorrow, I am supposed to go out to lunch. I can cook a meal in the slow cooker finally, because I don't have to worry about being at work for so long that it burns, and of course, I'll be jumping every time the phone rings. I find out tomorrow if I'm getting a job offer or not.

*fingers crossed*
