Two and a half miles...
Tomorrow:
Taking the commuter rail into downtown Seattle.
From the station, it's nearly a 2 and a half mile straight shot (if we walk, that is) up to the Pacific Science Center/Space Needle.
Pike Place Market is right about in the middle.
So it's PERFECT. We can do the PSC/Space Needle first, stopping at Pike Place Market on the way back.
And brother and fam will at least see what makes up the pulse of the city. There is more to do, obviously, but we don't have enough time.
It will be an expensive day though. The PSC is $15 to get in and the Space Needle is about $16 (although I might be able to get a military discount...they have one listed in their prices). At least Pike Place Market is free (unless you buy something, of course).
Today:
I have brownies in the oven. Reece REALLY wants to play, and she chomped down hard on my thigh because I was eating breakfast and couldn't play with her. She tends to bite when she gets overly frustrated. But she'll get plenty of play time when they get here.
They left Burbank about 15 minutes ago or so, so they are now on their way. I still have quite a bit to do.
Marcus told me on the phone last night that he thinks he wants to go somewhere today and he mentioned wanting to visit Puget Sound, so I think we'll go to Dash Point this afternoon. And we can take the dog and see how she likes the beach.
Then, home...to burgers on the grill and brownies.
