Lazy Saturday, part 2
Other than venturing out to attend
inateapot's baby shower, I haven't done much at all today.
And it's been so nice. It's been raining off and on. Reece and I have been snuggling and napping.
Anyway...the baby shower - it was a brunch. Nice spread: quiche, potatoes, muffins, cream puffs, fruit and veggie trays. Of course, baby showers are somewhat awkward territory for me, being childfree and all, but we had conversations about a lot of different topics. It was nice.
What did I get for the baby? Bibs, booties and a baby bath set with Johnson's baby bath, baby shampoo, baby lotion, Desitin, etc. I always get practical stuff for occasions like this. I figure that a mother can never have too many bibs or booties.
The afternoon has been about the Olympics, lounging around on the couch, and a very simple dinner of tuna and bean salad with a toasted English muffin and lemon tea.
