The Joys of Puppy Parenthood, Redux

Reece had to go out at 11:30 last night. That's all good and fine. She usually has to go out once or twice.

It wasn't difficult getting her back inside, unlike the night before, where I had to venture out in the rain at 2 am to get her.

However, we were going back to sleep, and I was just on the verge of drifting off, when she sat bolt upright on her bed and started howling and barking.

I couldn't hear a thing. Whatever was bothering her was coming from outside our bedroom, so I opened up the door and she made a beeline for the front door.

There was no one there. Not a thing. And it was quiet as could be.

I got her calmed down and we tried to go back to sleep again. But hearing a damsel fly fluttering against the wall distracted her yet again, so I had to get up and take care of that. Then after we settled down again, she continued to growl at any little noise.

Needless to say, I'll be needing a latte this morning.

A full moon, maybe? Jodie was acting kind of weird last night as well. I went to bed early to read and she went with me and actually passed out after a few minutes. Usually she stays in the living room or sleeps on the bed in the guestroom. So she was snoring/dreaming and suddenly jumped up, barked, shook herself, started growling and made her round through the apartment a few times. Weird, maybe a bad dream? I have stopped questioning this dog.
