Pretty much what I figured. Woke up this morning. Situation outside hasn't improved, and I doubt we'll ever see any sign of a snow plow or a sand truck.

No way in hell my car is ever going to make it out of the driveway without getting stuck.

So I called into work. I talked directly to our branch manager. He said that if the situation is the same tomorrow, to make sure to call in and let them know.

So the door is now open for tomorrow. But I hope I don't have to call off tomorrow. I have things at work that simply must get done before the holidays. If need be, Lance will have to take me to work the rest of the week. His truck is considerably higher than my car, and won't get stuck in the snow. But it's also more dangerous, since he only has 2-wheel drive and he doesn't have good traction in this weather.

Is your car rear-wheel drive? Because if it isnt, it shouldn't get stuck.

It's front wheel drive, but the snow comes up to the underside of the car. And the road is still extremely slippery. I haven't seen anyone in anything other than a 4 wheel drive SUV be able to make it down our street.

That sucks. I remember that from Germany. :/

that road looks horrible -from the pictures you posted it looks like they haven't cleared ANY snow at all!

We haven't seen our street for a week. First it got covered with a sheet of ice. Now there is snow on top of that, which will get packed down and turned into ice overnight tonight. So we're looking at a couple of inches of ice on the road tomorrow morning.

Fun times.
