Wow...

What is this liquid falling from the sky? Wow...could it be rain? Haven't seen that in about 2 months.

Anyway, it made DirecTV crap out in the middle of Confessions of a Travel Writer, just as it was getting really interesting. Curses! I'm actually really fed up with DirecTV, but it's the only way Lance can get his Vikings games, so we're stuck with it. If it were up to me, we would've switched to Comcast ages ago. DirecTV always goes out when we have wind, hail or snow (and we have none of these things occurring right now, so I'm mystified as to why it went out).

Oh well. We need the rain very badly. It may prevent me from getting Reece out for a walk, so she probably won't be happy.

I made a big meatloaf for dinner tonight - 2 pounds. Half ground pork, half ground beef, milk, bread crumbs, egg, and a packet of meatloaf seasoning (made locally, purchased at the Kent Farmer's Market). Turned out really good. I froze half of it. Normally I have to do mashed potatoes and corn with it, but since Lance can't eat starch anymore because of this crazy new diet he's on (I just won't mention the bread crumbs...it's an insignificant amount), I didn't want to make potatoes just for myself. So I sliced up 2 tomatoes and baked a crusty French roll and called it good. When Lance gets home from his workout, I suppose he'll heat up the meatloaf and a can of green beans and that will be his dinner. I don't even know anymore...I already had to work around his finicky eating habits and now it's even worse.

Oh yes! The TV just came back on! Hopefully it will stay on for awhile, but I'm not holding my breath. ETA: The big black screen of doom just came up again. Maybe I should call it quits and just read for awhile.

Oh god - we're still on that stupid cross fit diet thing?

He really hasn't even been following it that much. Only sporadically.

I guess the grass is always greener. We had Comcast forever and got fed up. It has been awful and the customer service, what customer service. We switched to DirecTV and love it.

Your weather is obviously better or the dish is positioned somewhere where it doesn't get all the nastiness. Because ours goes out a lot.
