Lance just woke me out of a dead sleep to give me the news and now I'm too excited to even bother going back to bed.

We are looking around Kent for a place to live. He won't be working in Seattle proper, but actually in the suburbs, and I hope to get a job close to where we live so I don't have to worry about a nightmarish commute.

Early December. Although our stuff is being shipped off in a couple of weeks, and Lance probably needs to ship his truck ASAP, considering it takes about 65 days to get to Seattle.

We move out of this house at the end of November and will be living in a hotel for a few days.

It's all going to happen very very fast.

Actually, we plan to spend Christmas in Minnesota this year. Not sure yet if that's actually going to work out; if I get hired somewhere and they can't wait for me to start work until after Christmas, I will stay in Seattle and work and Lance can go home. He probably wouldn't be happy about it, but I'm not sacrificing a job. I need work. The cost of living is so much more expensive.

Very true! What I like about Oregon is that there's no sales tax, which helps...So you may have a few south of the border trips in store for bigger purchases! :)

Oh yeah? We'll need furniture. That's good to know. The base exchange has no sales tax either, but we're turned off the base exchange after our experience here.

We should still be there. This is at least a 3 year commitment, and probably more than that if everything goes as it should.

You can't imagine how much I would love to have a "cooking buddy". But if we cook together, we should also workout together (so we don't feel bad when we eat all the tasty things we cook)
