New doggie discovery: Reece likes eating mud.

She likes digging it up from underneath the grass and eating it.

Mommy and Daddy are not well pleased.

In other news, Lance is going to be TDY over the week of my birthday and Reece's next vet appointment.

I hope she won't be a poop eater. Zoe love to eat poop. She loves cat poop. My mom's adorable pekingese puppy Mandy loves to eat her own poop. You have to be really quick to pull her away from her poop or she'll start eating it.

Zoe and Mandy are adorable princess looking fluffy little dogs. You wouldn't think that they're a couple of poopoo eaters, but they are.

Ugh. My dog Chloe is the infamous turd burglar of the catbox.

I haven't seen any issues with her doing that. She's mostly a mulch, pinecone and flower eater.

Maybe she was a hippie in a previous life. ;)

I'd try googling this -- just like pregnant women who get an urge to eat dirt or crunch ice, it's *possible* her mud-eating is a pica thing and she's doing it as a response to a lack of something in her diet.

It's also possible that she's just being a rascal and loves the way it feels and the whole digging aspect, etc.

(I wouldn't worry too much about her eating poop -- usually if pups are going to do that they've started by Reece's age, in my experience. That is, however, a fixable issue and if it ever happens there are several websites that explain how to train your dog not to do it.) ;-) Good luck!
