YAY!!!

I'm going to Ohio over 4th of July weekend.

Granted, it will be murder on me: the red-eye from Seattle to Cleveland overnight Thursday/Friday. Two hour layover in Cleveland. Very short flight to Columbus, arriving there around 9:30 AM.

Then about 50 hours there before I have to turn around and come back here. I'll be getting back into Seattle around dinnertime on Sunday. Laying over in Houston on the way back. Trying to give myself time so if flights are delayed/cancelled, I hopefully won't get back too late.

I won't even have enough time to get acclimated to Eastern Standard Time.

But I used my frequent flyer miles for this trip and it only cost me $10, so I'm not complaining. I just really need to see my family. And I could save my frequent flyer miles for another time, but why should I?

LOL -- I'll be going coastal around the same time, but backwards. ;) I'mn going to LA June 30 - July 7. Taking the red-eye home from LA back to Raleigh. I've never had to red-eye it back so I'm freaking out about that a little.

It's not really different than flying to Europe from the US overnight, except you wake up and are still in the same country. Hehe. Just wear comfy clothes and try and get some sleep and you'll be fine. Earplugs are a must. ;)

Woo hoo! There's nothing like being surrounded by fellow Buckeyes after you've been away for a while. I feel the need to state that the longest amount of time I've ever spent out of Ohio was about 2 weeks. Maybe less.
