Sex and the City
So I went to see the movie last night...
...and I totally loved it!!
There were no surprises, really. I had to laugh at the collective gasp from the audience during the scene when Steve told Miranda that he cheated on her. But that scene was in the movie trailer, so how could anyone have been surprised if they had already watched the trailer?
Otherwise, it was totally predictable. It has a happy ending...it would have to, wouldn't it? The world can only make sense if Carrie and Big are together.
But still...there were plenty of touching moments. Plenty of moments when I got choked up. Lots of hilarity (particularly Charlotte's predicament in Mexico).
And something never seen on Sex and the City before...
penis.
Only for a second. But it was there.
The soundtrack...well, not fond of it. I think the music should've been more classic.
Oh...and the words Big whispered in Carrie's ear toward the end...
"Ever thine...
ever mine...
ever ours..."
*melt*

I've been rewatching all the seasons, and I'm going to catch a matinée next week. Can't wait! :) I'm up to where Carrie and Aleksandr Petrovsky go to Paris. :)

Also...Carrie's wedding dress...the one in so many of the early movie set photographs...OMG. So totally hideous.
