Enterprise Rent a Car - oh, how I loathe you.

I suppose I can't complain. I mean, my insurance is paying the bill.

But they put me in a smelly, filthy old Chevy Cobalt. It was either that or a PT Cruiser. I chose the Cobalt because it was smaller and more fuel efficient.

But it's disgusting. It doesn't look like it's been vacuumed in a year.

And they said no pets in the car. HAHA. As if they'd notice. But I still rescheduled Reece's vet appointment.

I have this piece of shit jalopy for about a week.

I feel good about the collision center, on the other hand. Very professional. Starting work on my car immediately...but can only do the cosmetic work to start. They need to get the Mazda parts, which will take longer.

The repair estimate really made me want to cry, but it could be worse. I've been in a worse accident than this before, which was a total loss.

Still, I'm going to miss my car. It's so much cleaner and smells so much better. And everything is automatic, unlike this piece of crap.

When I took my car in, Enterprise was "nice" enough to give me a gas guzzling Pontiac Grand Prix. I went through what would be almost a week's worth of gas in my car in 1.5 days in that car. I was pissed.

I used to work at Budget Rent a Car, and I don't recall ever renting cars out that were in this kind of shape.

That is too crazy. One of my co workers had the same thing happen to her here in Atlanta. She talked to the manager at Enterprise and they apologized and changed the care immediately and they came out to the office to do so. But it was a smelly, filthy Chevy Cobalt she first got. Too weird.

Unfortunately, there were slim pickings at this Enterprise. I doubt they have anything that I can switch out.

oops sorry typo changed the car even. Doesn't hurt to try.

I dealt w/ enterprise this weekend too. We rented a car that had body damage on it because it was the only one on the lot that Josh could drive since he is so tall. And when we opened the glove box a bee flew out.

They said they vaccum them after every rental - if that's the case you should take the car back and demand a different one. sounds gross

It's not a big office, so they don't have that many cars. I don't even know the shape that the PT Cruiser was in, and I'm scared to know.

I think Enterprise has a policy for giving insurance customers the crappiest cars because they're not paid much for it. We rented a car there ourselves (though with two discounts because of Aaron's work and mine) and it was just perfect, clean, new, great service. Definitely not a good business practice, I bet they scare away a lot of potential customers.
