I've noticed over the past few days that Reece has started picking up some nasty habits. And I can only conclude that she got them from doggie day camp.

For starters, she has barking matches with the neighbor dogs. She normally never barks at other dogs.

Today, as we were driving to Petsmart, she started barking at a motorcyclist who was sitting in the turn lane next to us while we were both waiting for the light to turn green. There was absolutely no reason for her to do that. His motorcycle was quiet. Nothing about him looked menacing.

On the way home - and Lance witnessed this because he heard it over my Bluetooth - we were stopped at a traffic light and she just started barking at random people on the sidewalk.

I have no idea what's gotten into her. I just can't cut off camp right now, because I need somewhere for her to go during the day. Once Lance is back home, we can scale back on it.

In training news, I am working with her on rolling over, and she's getting better at it. We struggle with it sometimes, but other times, she just gets it. I am hoping by a week from Friday, she'll have it completely nailed. She did it several times yesterday and I got her to do it very easily this morning.

I read something the other day about how the language of dogs. It said that barking is a way of calling other dogs over - so maybe being around other dogs is making her do that?

You should here the barking that goes on at camp...so if she barks at other dogs, I suppose that's understandable.

But barking at random people...just not something that she does.

Maybe shes calling the other dogs over to come check out the people!
