(no subject)

The weather is supposed to vastly improve by the time my parents get here, but right now it feels like October and we'll probably be turning on the heat tonight. It was down in the 40's last night.

I'm in need of some comfort food, so I'm going to make tuna noodle casserole for dinner. With all my planning and preparation for what we'll have to eat while my parents are here, I didn't really think about what we're having for dinner on those nights when they're not. Luckily, I keep tuna in the pantry and I always have some cream of something soup and noodles.

I really want soup, but I'm not in the mood for tomato. I really want chicken and dumpling soup. I have a recipe for that. Once the weather starts to cool off for good, I should make some. And I should make my own chicken stock for that too.

Anyway, I just wrote up a book review for Caravaggio's Angel. The other book I have to review isn't being released until October, so I don't feel like I'm in any hurry to read it. I'm working on The Eyre Affair right now, which I borrowed from a friend. After that, I'll read the next book I have to review and then I'll go to the library. I haven't been there in some time, and I need to rectify this situation immediately.

I cleared some space on my bookshelf. Those books are now stacked on a high shelf in my closet, but I'm getting rid of them. If anyone (besides [livejournal.com profile] katzies) is interested in what I have, just comment. I'll make a post about it.

I still have some more housecleaning to do today. The floors need vacuuming, especially since Reece threw up on the carpet three times this morning and there are still bits of grass that I didn't get up completely. I sprayed the Nature's Miracle liberally, but I might need to go over those spots again with some Oxyclean.

Anyway, on to dinner. It will take awhile to cook, so I'll vacuum while I'm waiting on the water to boil for the noodles.

Is that a split infinitive I see before me ?

(I know you do it deliberately but it's been quite rare of late).

:)

So what are you saying? You like when I split my infinitives? ;)

maybe we can trade books for tea :)

Seems like a fair trade. But the stuff I have available only has a limited appeal, I figure.

I'll post a list of what I have, though.
