I hope you can now run and play over that Rainbow Bridge.
I hope you are whole again.
I hope you have found peace.
I will love you and miss you always.
ETA (1:00 am): Mom said it was very peaceful and she was gone in about 10 seconds. She was ready to go.

There are not many things that are more difficult than losing a pet.
I'll be keeping you and Taffy in my thoughts.

I know it's cliched advice to tell someone who has lost a pet to get a new one soon, but I hope your parents do if they have the time for one. It really *does* help. The new pet never replaces the old one, but there's just something healing in those new, soulful, puppy-dog eyes. I wish you and Lance could get one, too.
I'm glad the end was peaceful for Taffy and I know she knew she was loved. That's the best thing we can give them, and all they really are asking from us - people to love and who will love them back. Taffy had that in abundance. *hugs*

I wish Lance and I could get a dog too...alas, we have to wait until we move back to the States.

That picture of Taffy makes me think she was a crazy loveable dog and I'm sure she was a wonderful friend to the family. Sometimes, after many years of great times and warm slobbers, the best gift a family can give to their furry friend is a peaceful end. I'm sure Taffy was very grateful that the pain was ending and her family was there to see her off.
I can't wait to see your joy when you are back in the States and Lance comes home with some little fuzzball that you can call your own. Taffy will never be replaced, but rather remembered when you look into the eyes of a new friend.
*hugs*
