I have more details over at [livejournal.com profile] itinerantwriter (well, when the update posts), but I took Reece for a walk today.

It was interesting.

Originally, I wanted to go to Soos Creek Trail. I had a vague idea of where it was (there is park access from Gary Grant park, plus two trailheads), so I packed up Reece and we were on our way.

Well, I *found* the trailhead. There was no parking around there, however. And all those roads out there were country roads. The side roads were private. No place to turn around.

Thankfully, I didn't get lost.

But we didn't walk Soos Creek trail either. I headed back into town and found the parking lot for Clark Lake Park, which was another park I wanted to check out anyway. So Reece and I walked around there, and there were a few other people with dogs. So she made some new friends and I had conversations with complete strangers. All was well.

I like that park. Reece liked it too. But I noticed her ear was bleeding (she's had a really scabby spot on the tip of her ear that I've been keeping my eye on), so I put her back in the car and we headed home.

Once home, I applied wet Q-tips to the wound to clean it out (she didn't protest too much...just cried a little because I'm sure it hurt). Then I rubbed some antibiotic ointment into the wound. Hopefully, that'll help.

Lance ordered Pizza Hut pasta for dinner. We just finished eating. Now I have to take care of some laundry and I'm taking it easy for the rest of the evening.
