Early to bed, early to rise...
Nov. 22nd, 2008 10:07 amLast night was not a typical Friday night.
Both Lance and Reece were sound asleep by 8. Lance was sacked out on the La-Z-Boy. Reece was stretched out on the couch. I was reading a magazine, listening to a chorus of snores.
I finally decided right about 9 or so that we all needed to be snuggled up together in bed, with the TV on, if that was required. So Lance moved the TV set back into the bedroom (he had moved it out of the room because it obstructs one of the windows). And we piled onto the bed and cuddled and watched some show on the History channel about the little Ice Age that occurred in medieval times.
By 10, we were all sleeping, and Reece was in her own bed. Because I was in bed earlier than usual for a Friday (that's actually my bedtime on weeknights), I was awake by 6. I tried to get out of bed, but Reece woke up and jumped up into bed with Lance, so I came back and we all cuddled together for a little bit.
But the Ohio State - Michigan game started a 9. We had a lot to do today, including a trip to Home Depot for cellular shades.
So I was up by 7:30, took my shower, got dressed (Ohio State hoodie, of course), got Reece in her crate. We got our shades at Home Depot. I love that you can get pre-made window coverings but they can cut them to custom fit your windows. Sooooo much cheaper to do it that way.
We bought 5 identical shades. One for the office, one for the hallway, two for the dining nook in the kitchen, and one for the window by the fireplace. So all the front windows will have matching shades, and the window by the fireplace, which is at the side of the house, will match the kitchen windows, since they are all in the same room.
I picked out some nice roman shades for the living room, but we haven't bought those yet. Since the living room is at the back of the house and we have a wooded lot behind us, we have quite a bit of privacy at the back of the house anyway. The priority was getting the front windows covered.
After Home Depot, we stopped at Burger King for breakfast. Not well pleased with them. They already screwed up my order the last time we got breakfast there. Today we had to wait awhile, they almost forgot my cini-minis, and the cini-minis weren't even good. I hate BK for breakfast. Lance likes to go there.
So now we're watching the OSU game. I need to finish up our grocery list, unload the dishwasher, finish some dusting (did some of it last night on the more visible surfaces in the house...there was an insane amount from the window replacement). After the game is over (we're winning right now), Lance and I will go to McChord to do our shopping. Not looking forward to that. It's going to be a madhouse.
