Kathy and I had SO MUCH FUN this evening. I can't believe how fascinating it is to see how wines are bottled. And yeah, I've made candles before, but this time I actually got to add the scent into the filler wax and pour the candle myself.
Tonight pretty much rocked.
I came home with another homemade candle (the scent is "Fire," which is cinnamon...and I have it burning right now). And I also came home with a custom bottle of wine...the wine itself is their "Captive Maiden," which is similar to a Gewurtztraminer, but the label on the bottle...
Get this...
"Reece's Mischief"
Isn't that awesome? Kathy named her wine after her dog too - "Wedge Antilles 'Red Two'," and she bottled up their "Red Rooster" wine.
Of course I have pictures. Getting those sorted now.
Oh...and the guy who runs Waxen Art...totally rocks. He was telling me how he's trying to spread the word about his business and I already told him that I've been spreading the word. I gave him the link to my blog.
And the people who run Castle Bridge Winery are completely awesome too.
It was an amazing time. Definitely have to do that again, should the opportunity arise.
Ooooh...and I sampled a red dessert wine today that tasted like dark chocolate! It was incredible.
