Dec. 10th, 2008 06:53 pmI had a bit of a delay getting home, as I got the name of my Secret Santa recipient today, and I was anxious to get out and start buying her gifts. I need to give 5 gifts, one for every day next week. I went to World Market after work and picked up 2.
World Market is right across the street from Petsmart, so I picked up Reece afterwards. Azteca is right by Petsmart (Mexican restaurant) and the smell in the parking lot was incredible. I immediately got a ridiculously huge craving for Mexican food.
So on my way home, I stopped at Taco Time. I really wanted nachos, but I didn't see any nachos on their menu. I settled for a chicken chimi platter instead, which was probably a little more virtuous anyway. And it came with salad on the side. But I cut up the chimi and mixed it all with the salad anyway. At least it took care of my craving. Taco Time wouldn't have been my first choice, but it's the most convenient to home.
I also found the secret to get Reece to eat. She must be bored with her food. I bought a few packages of wet food and all it takes is one tablespoon mixed in with her dry food, and she goes ape. She inhaled her dinner. And since it only takes one spoon, one package of wet food will last longer.
Reece's ornament arrived today. It's tiny and cute. I expected it to be bigger, honestly, but since the Etsy seller didn't mention anything about size, I had no particular reason to expect it to be a certain size. Anyway, Reece already tried to eat it. HA!
I bought a nutcracker at World Market to put on the fireplace mantel. I always wanted one of those expensive German nutcrackers and I just never got one while we were there. So I'll settle for a cheap one. I eventually want a whole army of Nutcrackers. I love them.
Still no Christmas cards in the mail. I still find that pretty odd. But I know at least one is on the way to me now. I have to figure out where I'm going to put our cards. Last year, I taped them to the cabinet doors of our little built-in unit we have between the living room and bedroom.
