Jan. 11th, 2009 02:06 pmApple muffins just came out of the oven. They're my breakfast for the coming week, since I'm on flex at work and I eat both breakfast and lunch there. They came from a mix, not scratch made - Fiber One brand. Past their expiration date (they expired in October), but that doesn't seem to make any difference. They still baked up just fine and smell wonderful.
Lance is watching Armageddon stuff on History again. I think it's the Nostradamus show he was watching when our DirecTV went out last Sunday due to the heavy snow.
I just made an appointment next Saturday to take my car in for a brake inspection. Since the blizzard, the brakes have been making this hideous squeaking noise. It's less hideous now than it was when it was still bitterly cold, but I need to get it looked at, nonetheless. I still have less than 7000 miles on my car, so I hope I don't have extensive damage. Lance will follow me to Firestone in his truck and we'll drop off my car. We'll take Reece to Reber Ranch for treats and play (it's her 1st birthday this Saturday) and then come back for my car.
I've mostly been resting today. I still have this awful chest congestion and coughing. I had to make a quick run to Target to pick up a refill on my inhaler. I'm down to one inhaler (I generally like to have 2 on me...never know when you're going to run out) and it's a few months past expiration, but I'm not really worried about that. It still works. I just needed a backup. I've been using it a lot more lately. If I can't shake this cough in another week or so, I may just have to go to the doctor.
