My current camera seems to have a declining picture quality, but then again, it is 4 years old. I've been having more and more problems with it. And considering Lance and I are going to the tulip festival on the 15th, I want a camera that can really capture what we're going to see. The biggest issue I am having with my current camera is that I cannot center things. If I want to do an up-close shot of something, like a flower, for example, I cannot center the flower in the viewfinder, because it will actually appear at the top of the photograph and part of it will get cut off. This has caused me endless frustration.
There are some things I don't like about the Canon Powershot SX110IS (no viewfinder, for one thing), but overall, you can't really beat everything you're getting for the price. I wish I could afford a digital SLR, but this is probably the next best thing.
Lance ordered it from newegg.com, and I should be getting it sometime next week. I'll have some time to play with it before our trip. I want to do some comparisons and take the same shots using my old Kodak and the new Canon, just to see what a difference it makes.
Oh, and the Canon apparently has a foliage setting. And one for fireworks. How cool is that?
