Three Good Things...

prosodic1> Reece got a goodie bag at day camp today! It was filled with a bunch of Purina samples, treats mostly. There were a couple of cat items too, so I gave those to a co-worker. So far, she's tried a piece of the Carvers chicken slices. She seemed a bit tentative at first and spit it out on the floor and stared at it, but she finally ate it.
2> A client sent me a $20 Starbucks gift card today! We've been working through a very difficult set-up on a service that was added to their payroll and had so many problems with the service for months. But the bugs finally got all worked out and everything is running smoothly now. I should be the last person on earth for her to reward, considering that my knowledge of this particular service was very limited when we started (believe me, I'm now well educated about it), but she appreciated my perseverance and my willingness to try and try again to fix the problem, even though I wanted to beat myself senseless because of it. Very sweet surprise! I sent her a very nice email to thank her, and I'll have to thank her again on the phone when we talk next week.
3> Sigga and I got to have lunch with Teresa today! Oh my God...I miss her so much. She always helped me get through the roughest days without completely losing it. We all did a group hug and we went to Jack in the Box for lunch - my first time there. I was apprehensive and played it safe, ordering the grilled chicken strips combo. It wasn't too bad. Their fries are good. Teresa is so much happier and carefree since she left Paychex. She was practically glowing. And she was gloating a little about it, too. I can't really blame her. But yes, I am very jealous.
