Another shot at the national championship

Woke up this morning to the news that Ohio State made it into the national championships. Certain things had to happen in order for this to happen - things that seemed impossible - but they happened, and now we're going.

Another shot at the national title.

PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT BLOW IT THIS YEAR, BUCKEYES!

And in other news, Lance and I are probably going to see Beowulf today. Not much on our agenda, really. I slept hard and deep last night and feel quite refreshed today, and I don't want to spend the entire day hanging out in our room.

Beowulf...

was entertaining. Although I don't know how well it actually followed the story because it's been so many years since I've read it. I believe it was embellished quite a bit, though. There were certain things about the plot that I certainly don't remember from the story.

Lance liked that it was digitalized to look like a computer game.

Angelina Jolie's accent was ridiculous and annoying. And I don't believe Grendel's mother is supposed to look like her. Grendel's mother is supposed to be this really hideous, awful, nightmarish beast.

Still thinking about the movie. Certainly not one of my favorites, but Lance and I are glad we went to see it.

Otherwise, our day has been pretty boring. We went downstairs to Cafe Fleur for lunch...nothing exciting there. I had a baguette sandwich with herbed cream cheese, tomato, hard boiled eggs, and cornichons. Lance had lasagna, which he didn't think was all that special, although I liked my lunch well enough. I just don't want to go back there because that restaurant is like a big wall of cigarette smoke...even their nonsmoking section smells like smoke.
