Lance and I went to the license agency yesterday and got our Washington drivers licenses. They are only temporary right now...I guess we'll be getting the permanent ones in the mail.

Anyway, I usually take good ID photos, but in this one, I look like some crazed maniac. Woohoo. Thanks, state of Washington! She didn't even warn me when she was going to take the photo. Maybe the color version of the photo will look better, but I doubt it.

Good thing I mostly flash my military ID for everything.

It seems Lance and I are going up to Bellevue today to see what storage options they have at The Container Store. He wants to get the office in order. I am very much okay with this.

But first we have to go get my vehicle registration signed and notarized. And I need to take care of my prescriptions today. Should get started on that anti-anxiety med ASAP, since she gave it to me to help keep me calm right now during this particularly stressful time. I told her about how I can't sleep at night, I'm overwhelmed by worry, and I've been stressing out to the point of making myself sick, so this medication she prescribed is supposed to help with all those things. Although the best medicine right now would be getting a job.

Please everyone, keep your fingers crossed that I get some good news on that front in the coming week!

Lance and I ran up to Bellevue this morning to browse around The Container Store, in order to find some options for office organization.

I happened to notice that The Cheesecake Factory was right across the street.

Anyway, we walked around the store for awhile, and Lance had to think on some stuff, and since it was almost lunch time as we left, he asked what we should do for lunch.

Since I had a gift card for The Cheesecake Factory in my purse, I suggested that we go there. I knew our bill would be more than $25, but I figured that lunch would be cheaper than dinner.

It was absolute destiny that we went there, I swear. But more on that later.

I ordered the lunch portion of Thai Chicken Pasta. Lance ordered the Four Cheese Pasta (which, to our surprise, had lots of chunky tomatoes and basil in it, which wasn't mentioned on the menu). Neither of us finished our lunch portions, and we both ordered cheesecake - Lance getting chocolate peanut butter cookie dough and I ordered the tiramisu cheesecake. I think we were both stuffed to the point of discomfort. I know I felt a little sick...and I couldn't finish my cheesecake. I had about half my entree to take home.

We got up to leave, and Lance had to run to the restroom. As I was standing there waiting for him, Ruth came running up to me, nearly tackling me.

I squealed loudly in surprise. After all, Seattle is a very big city. How on earth did we wind up in the same restaurant at the same time? She was pretty far from her sister's neighborhood and we were far from ours.

Anyway, we had a really good laugh about it. She just happened to be in the neighborhood because they were getting ready to see The Kite Runner at the cinema across the street. I guess that's the only place it's playing here locally...or at least one of a few places, since it's in limited release.

She chatted with us a for a few minutes, and then went off to enjoy her lunch. We went back across the street to The Container Store, where Lance bought a nice organization system to put in the office closet...slider racks and mesh baskets.

We also made a quick stop at HD before we got home and picked up a window insulation kit. Lance just spent a couple of hours working on that.

I just got back from Target, where I filled my prescriptions and picked up a few sundry items. I'm not in the mood to make any dinner tonight. Lance and I are still stuffed from lunch. We both have leftovers in the fridge, but mine is very fragrant...it must be the peanut sauce. It permeated the entire kitchen.

I talked to my brother in Guam today too. He deloys in a week and will be gone for 8 months, so I wanted to talk with him before he left. Unfortunately, I woke him up. Thankfully, I didn't wake the baby. I must say how absolutely sweet and endearing it is to hear how besotted he is with his little girl...he just gushes about what a genius she is, since she seems to be reaching certain milestones much faster than average.
