Two phone calls to be made:

- One to Tricare (because it seems like they are trying to bill me for my doctor's appointment, and since they assigned me to this doctor and told me that I only had to pay for prescriptions out of pocket, I am not well pleased at the prospect of shelling out $400 for a standard medical appointment that should be covered by EVERY insurance policy). Lance is taking care of this phone call, but if nothing gets resolved today, I will probably end up having to do the follow-through.

- One to Appleone, because my paycheck was mysteriously absent from my mailbox on both Friday and Saturday, and I believe I told them to send my paycheck to me every week. If they still have it, I'll have to drive over there to pick it up. Also, must inform them that I am on the callback list for my most recent temp job. Yay. :P

Errands:

- To post office, to mail out V-Day cards and gifts.

- To hair salon to get my bangs cut.

- To Target, to pick up a couple prescriptions and return an item.

- To HD, to pick up more DIF for wallpaper stripping this evening.

- Possibly to Appleone, to pick up paycheck...and then to the bank to deposit it. (ETA: It was mailed out Saturday morning, so I should get it today.)

- And if the weather is good, to Earthworks Park, to take a walk.

Household Duties:

- Clean bathrooms

- Wallpaper stripping

I also need to do a toning workout here at home. And I need to apply for more jobs. There is one that I know of in job title only...I cannot find any job description, but it's Writer/Editor - Contractor, so it sounds kind of like a freelance thing to me. And I think it's for classmates.com. It's the company that owns classmates.com, and the job is in Renton, where classmates.com is based.

I went to classmates.com last night actually, and updated my profile and added a crapload of pictures, all from our various travels. My 15 year reunion is supposed to be this year (if there is one being held...good God, I'm old) and since I have no intention of going if there is one (and doubt they could track me down to invite me anyway), at least my profile is updated for the curious who want to know how I spent the last 15 years.

But I was a total nobody in high school, so I doubt anyone is curious. The highlight of my 4 years there was getting my yearbook signed by the most popular guy in school, who was actually aware of my existence, and only because we were both on the school newspaper staff. I wasn't popular. I wasn't unpopular. I was just there, and people generally only knew of me because of my older brother, who was apparently more popular than I ever hoped to be.

I started running my errands, but lunch is interfering with getting them all done at once. A girl has to have her food, you know. ;)

Anyway, the post office was about as far as I had to go, and that is all of 5-10 minutes to drive. So I took care of that, mailed out all the V-Day cards and looked for something to mail Paula's V-Day gift in (we always exchange silly little things on most holidays, except for birthdays, anniversaries, and Christmas, when we exchange bigger gifts). They actually didn't have anything...no Priority Mail boxes or anything. And the line was huge. I spied a mailing center across the street - one of those places that does UPS, FedEx, DHL and the USPS. So I went across the street instead.

Nobody was there. Hurrah! So I grabbed a large padded envelope, stuffed her gift down inside (it's not fragile, just bulky), and mailed it out. Done! On the way out, I noticed they were advertising for a full-time position, so I asked for an application. It's minimum wage, which sucks, but nobody said I would have to work there forever. It's just a back-up plan if I don't have any prospects by the end of this week. I already have applications for Barnes & Noble and Bath & Body Works saved on my computer, just in case I hit my "desperate times, desperate measures" point. I am getting close already.

Now...lunch. Half a can of tuna mixed with olive oil, lemon juice, lemon herb seasoning and pepper, spooned over reduced fat Wheat Thins. I'm eating small meals several times a day. Back on my plan. I'm only a pound and a half off my ideal weight, but I'm slipping back into bad habits, which is really the problem.

After this, I go back out and finish errands. Hopefully by the time I get back, my paycheck will be in the mailbox, and I'll have a box of books sitting at the door.

Oh...one more thing...I have been tracking visitors to my blog (not this one, but [livejournal.com profile] itinerantwriter) since Thursday...my friend Sam helped me set it up via Yahoo Messenger. Anyway, I am AMAZED at how many people are reading and from where. Most of my readers are from Germany, with the Netherlands and UK coming up in 2nd and 3rd place. But I have readers from Romania, Czech Republic, Norway, Singapore, Australia...all over the US and Canada. I'm truly astonished. It's also interesting to see what search terms led people to my blog. Some of them are pretty entertaining.

One of my errands today was to pick up some prescription refills at Target. I don't really need them for awhile yet, but I just wanted to get it done, and perhaps look for a little something for Lance for V-Day while I'm there. Anyway, I've had this errand planned since probably Friday or Saturday.

This morning whilst doing my workout, Target's automated pharmacy line called to inform me that my refills were ready for pickup.

*boggle*

Refills via telepathy. How's that for service?
