prosodic: (Happy Easter)
Hope everyone is having a happy Easter.

I spent my day so far tossing and turning early in the morning, until I finally gave up and got out of bed. I had text message conversations with both Paula and Lance. I went to McDonald's to pick up breakfast, since I couldn't deal with sitting alone in a restaurant. I read for a little while and then went back to bed for a little while.

And now I'm up for the rest of the day.

It's pouring rain off and on, so I won't be going anywhere. I'll hunker down with my books, magazines and movies, do a little work, and try to make the best of things.

I am, at least, making myself a ham dinner. And I have a cadbury creme egg and a caramel one. And jellybeans.
prosodic: (a spot of tea)
It's still dreary and wet outside.

But I have a cup of English tea brewing and I have lowfat blueberry orange muffins in the oven right now.

(No special recipe on the muffins, just a Pillsbury mix, used applesauce instead of oil, and added a teaspoon of orange peel.)

I have books and a warm blanket.

I think I'm squared away for the rest of the day. I had a headache earlier, but Advil took care of that, for the most part.

In other news, Lance and I are going to buy me a laptop when he gets back. We've been talking about this for quite some time, but it wasn't exactly a priority with all the household projects, etc. that need financed. But my upcoming trip to New York is making it a bit more urgent. Having a computer with me would be useful, and Lance uses his laptop enough to where my taking it would be an inconvenience for him.

I also looked up the hotel where I was told I would be staying. Niiiiiiiiice. Also, free Wi-Fi in all the suites!

P.S. If anyone knows of any cool places to visit around Rochester, NY, let me know. I am thinking about driving 3 hours up to Niagara Falls on a weekend, but I'm not sure about doing it alone, unless I can convince one or more of my fellow trainees to go with me.
prosodic: (friends)
There is a lot of pain on my friends list right now.

Consider this my great big hug to all of you who are hurting, whether it be physical or emotional. I am sending thoughts to all of you.
