We had a thunderstorm last night - rare in these parts, but badly needed. It really cooled things off and gave us some much needed rain, since Western Washington has been getting dry enough for there to be some concern over wildfires (and there was a lot of concern about lightning triggering them).

We had the bedroom window open all night, and two fans going in the room. I slept pretty well. Reece did not wake up ONCE, and I'm so so happy about that. Lance woke me up a couple times.

Woke up this morning to cool, fresh air. I took Reece for a short walk today. She still hates the Gentle Leader thing we got for her, but the walk was so much better than any we've done previously. It's a beautiful morning, and today is supposed to be warm, but not hot.

Quarter-end madness begins today. Busy busy day ahead. At least it makes the time go by faster.

I came home from work today to find a box on the table.

It was for me, and had [livejournal.com profile] hetterrific's address for the return address. She emailed me a few days ago, asking me for my address, but she said she was sending a belated birthday card.

Well, that was in the box, along with a couple other things that made me smile:

- froggie salt and pepper shakers

AND

- a froggie kitchen towel

Thanks so much, Heather and Catherine! I love them! So so cute!

(And I didn't realize how much I needed the S & P shakers, but I'm always borrowing the ones off the table to use at the stove, so now I have a set to keep on the stove). :)

You completely made my day. :)
