I took advantage of the last decent weather we'll probably be having in awhile, and I went out for a walk on my lunch break this afternoon. It was quite refreshing. Granted, it's no nature walk or anything, but there was the smell of freshly cut grass and plenty of trees.

It was good to clear my head. And it left me feeling just a bit more optimistic about things...at least things not related to my job.

Tomorrow night, I am going here to meet a new friend. And I'm excited about meeting her and excited about trying someplace new. I may have a new post about this place on [livejournal.com profile] itinerantwriter tomorrow night. The restaurant gets great reviews. And...TAPAS! Oh my God! Some of it is actually similar to the tapas I loved at my favorite Spanish restaurant in Germany.

I got off the phone with Kathy a short while ago...we talked for a little over 45 minutes. Her birthday is Sunday and I told her that her wish was my command. I think the plan right now is to head down to Tacoma so she can see the wonder that is the Tacoma Book Center. When I told her how I stumbled upon this magical place, she got very excited and now wants to go. So we may hang out in Tacoma for a bit and do some other stuff too.

Oh, and the Museum of Glass is open too! We both want to go there. May have to include that in our plans.

I'm just glad the weekend is almost here. I need some time to just breathe and just be.

I indulged in a bit of online shopping at kohls.com this evening. I need more clothes. Reece has destroyed a good deal of my wardrobe and I haven't replaced it all yet. So I've been pretty much wearing the same 5 outfits to work every week...give or take a different sweater here and there.

So I now have 2 new sweaters. A pretty top that is good for all seasons (at least here it is). Some new undies. Only $5 for shipping!

And yes, I could've gone to Kohl's. But I hate shopping. I don't have the patience to pick through clothing racks and take things into the dressing room ad nauseum. And the nearest Kohl's isn't particularly convenient. I can't sneeze at $5 shipping and I had a merchandise credit anyway.
