I had a horrible day today. Absolutely godawful. To the point where I told Lance that he needed to take me to a batting cage so I could smash the crap out of something. Yes, I still feel that way, and no, I am not going to a batting cage.

I cried on the way home.

But Lance ordered pizza so I didn't have to cook. I texted him throughout the day, expressing anger or frustration about something, so he thought he would take it upon himself to order dinner to make my life a little easier. It arrived about 5 minutes after I did.

And there was a package from Andrea. She's currently on a 2 week cruise, so I can't thank her until she gets back. But she will never know how much this means to me, particularly since the timing was so perfect.

The goods:

- Bill Bryson's book about Shakespeare
- Shakespeare insult magnets (I'm taking these to work!)
- a Claude Monet notepad
- stroopwafels (an addictive Dutch cookie)

The box was stuffed with pages from Super Sonntag, the local Sunday paper that we used to get delivered to us for free (in German, but always fun to look at) and a copy of the Tri-Border Reporter, which is the local military community newspaper.

*sigh* I miss her so much. I just miss Germany so much. It's so beautiful in the spring once the weather starts improving.

I've had homesickness for Germany so bad lately. This package could not have come at a better time.

I'm putting together something for her, and I need to get on that, since they'll be getting ready to leave Germany in the next few months. I already know what I'm putting in the package...it's just a matter of getting all the components.

Teresa loaned me Marie Antoinette to watch this weekend. It's supposed to be rainy and chilly this weekend (shocking, I know), so I'll have something to entertain me.

Right now, I'm reading The Second Mrs. Darcy. Not sure yet how I feel about it. I like the main character, but her relatives are obnoxious to the point of being completely ludicrous. And I suppose that's sort of the point, but it can be overdone.

Finished Burning Bright last night. Not my favorite Tracy Chevalier, but still a good read.

I have a much needed hair appointment scheduled for Friday night. And I could use a little pampering.
