Impending Autumn
Aug. 6th, 2009 10:43 pmI was surprised to notice that the leaves are changing colors.
And the high temp today was only around 70. And I found myself buying butternut squash soup today.
It's only early August. Something's not right. But I don't mean that in a bad way at all. Last week, it was 100 degrees.
I took a nice, long walk this evening with Reece. The music was good (I was listening to Michael Jackson and then switched to Portishead, which I haven't heard in awhile) and I wanted to keep listening, so I just kept going.
That was pretty much the highlight of my day.
Tomorrow is a farewell lunch at Duke's Chowder House for 2 families who are leaving. One is moving on the Hawaii, the other to Oklahoma. Aside from that, I don't think my day is going to be very exciting. I have housework to do as well as writing gig stuff.
