prosodic: (books)
Since I think there's a good possibility that I can start classes next week, I would really like to order my books today.

One of the required texts is this:
http://www.amazon.com/Reporting-Technical-Information-late-Kenneth/dp/0195178793/ref=dp_ob_title_bk#noop

Does anyone know where I might be able to get it cheaper? Are there any good used textbook websites I should consider?

ETA: It's the cheapest on chegg.com because I can rent it and then send it back...but what if I want to keep it?

Reece must have been Hindu in a past life.

I say this because I have this little ceramic handpainted cow that I bought when we lived in Germany. It's actually a bank, although I don't put any money in it. It's sitting at the bottom of the bookshelf where I keep my cookbook collection.

Every single time Reece walks into that room, she goes over to sniff the cow and ring the little tiny bell around its neck. She sometimes nudges it with her nose, and every so often, I find that I have to move back to its original spot.

But to be fair, she also does this with the Italian rooster pitcher and the two little chicken egg cups that I have on the hutch. She just seems to give the cow the most attention.

So...my textbooks are ordered.

I bought one off of half.com because it was the cheapest option. The book brand new is $75. I got it for $42 and it's in pretty good condition, according to the seller.

I bought the other one brand new. It was only $22 anyway. And I bought a cheap copy of Wuthering Heights so I could get the free shipping. That was on amazon.

YAY! Textbooks! I'm so excited!

Step 2: Info session at Bellevue College on Thursday evening. Hopefully I can register for classes that evening and then request the tuition assistance for the class that starts next week (that class is on campus). The other class starts on the 30th (online).

Apropos of nothing, but I wish I would stop seeing these commercials for the Pacific Northwest Ballet's "Romeo et Juliette." I want to see it SOOOOO bad. Curse my lack of money.
