I started reading Reduced Shakespeare: The Complete Guide for the Attention-Impaired [abridged] last night before Lance and I went to bed.

I was laughing so hard. I had to stop reading when Lance turned out his light, because I would've kept him up with my hysterical laughing.

I was reading some more of it this afternoon. It just keeps getting funnier and funnier. Man, I wish we had this book when I took the Shakespeare class in grad school.

Even the Table of Contents is funny. Oh my God. The best part is the footnotes...well, that, and the illustration captions. Hilarious. Even the author biographies are hysterical (Well, Reed Martin's was, anyway...and it's doubtful that most of it is true).

Methinks Shakespeare would approve.

As long as it's June 11, it's not too late. :)

Thanks.

Yes, do. If all high school students were made to read this before they start on Shakespeare, they would have a better appreciation for it, I think. It's fabulous.
