Checking In

prosodicNo internet at the house, so we're at Panera, having dinner and using their free internet. Just had a yummy combo of half a mediterranean veggie sandwich and their veggie soup. Mmmmmmmm.
Over the past couple of days:
- Got a package from![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
godchick with lots of Christmas goodies. She is awesome. Thanks so much, Yvonne. You hopefully got my snail mail love today.
- Got a card froma_rockett today with the promise of future cookies. Thanks, sweetie.
- Job interview Wednesday: interested in me...not interested in them. I would have to do sales and be aggressive, neither of which are in my DNA. It's a boost of confidence though, knowing that they wanted to hire me. They were offering me a choice between two positions, which were different from the one I actually applied for. Will keep looking.
- Movers came yesterday. We almost had a disaster in that they actually delivered some of our stuff to someone else this past Tuesday. But they seem to have gotten it all back, and every box is apparently accounted for. Can't say that every box is unpacked, however, though I wish that were the case.
Two major pieces of furniture could not be put back together. The movers in Germany completely disassembled most of our furniture, and now pieces are missing or the furniture is too complex to be assembled without instructions. The movers gave up and are sending a specialist, but he likely won't be here until after Christmas.
- I don't have enough room in my kitchen for all my stuff.
- My new Kitchenaid mixer came today!! In celebration, I am making 2 pudding pies tonight to take to Lance's office party tomorrow. I could do them by hand, but I want to use my mixer.
- Picked up Lance's truck today. My first time driving on I-5. It wasn't bad actually.
- Phone hooked up today.
- Have had 2 meltdowns in the past few days.
I'll try to check back again before Christmas. Maybe at the library next time. If I can't, I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Love to you all.
