I made some pretty large baked potatoes, grilled marinated chicken, and carrots for dinner. I broke in my new toaster oven 2 days ago...since then, I've never once turned on my oven. The toaster oven is great, and the baked potatoes worked out well in it.
I broke in my grill pan today. We bought it back in October at the outlet mall in Belgium, but the movers came right after and packed it up. I grilled the chicken on it tonight and it was perfect. Love my grill pan.
I made a crazy marinade by just throwing together a bunch of stuff I had: olive oil, zesty Italian dressing, honey mustard, cumin, onion powder, garlic, salt and pepper. Probably sounds gross and looked pretty disgusting, but ended up being a pretty darn good marinade. The chicken had nice flavor and was really tender. But we didn't eat a lot of the chicken, on account of the baked potato being a meal in and of itself. So I'll have to find a way to use up the leftover chicken in the next couple days.
Bought a bag of dark M&Ms at Target today...they were on sale. Sorry I did that. Lance completely flips out whenever there is chocolate in the house, and even though I have my hiding places, he eventually figures them out. If he wants the chocolate bad enough, he'll find it.
It feels like a Sunday. I suppose because football is on...
