All Hail the Bunco Queen!
Jan. 11th, 2008 10:45 pmSo I have a natural affinity for Bunco, apparently. Who knew? This is only the second time I've played, and once again, I am made of win. I won the first 5 games, and got 2 Buncos within those first 5 games.
I lost 9 games and won 9 games, but I got 3 Buncos total. And there were a few other people who also got 3 Buncos, so we had a roll-off, and I won that.
I do not get hostessing duties for next month's game. That actually goes to the last person who got a Bunco, which wasn't me.
I did, however, get a $25 gift card to The Cheesecake Factory. I also got one of the consolation prizes, since a few people didn't show up...everyone got to take one of those home. It's a big shaker filled with popcorn kernels and popcorn seasoning.
Anyway, I had an absolute blast. I was able to hold my own very well among people whom Lance knows a bit better than I do. Of course, they asked me where he was, but I told them that he stayed home to work on organizing the house. I'm sure they'll tease him for not being there. Even the Lt. Colonel was there, for crying out loud (and he got a prize for losing the most games...HAHAHA).
Good food. New friends. My perspective on life has changed a lot since earlier today.
(By the way, go buy the Roasted Caribbean Pretzels from World Market. Holy crap. So addictive. Everyone went crazy for them. I'm surprised there were any left.)
