Well, guess who gets to go back to temp job from hell on Monday? Hooray! My agent at the temp agency called me to tell me:

1> Expedia hired someone else, so I will not be getting so much as an interview for that position for which he submitted my resume.

(Color me shocked, really!)

2> Since I am on the callback list at the bank, I can go back on Monday if I want.

Well, I do not want, but I have no choice now, do I? None of the other work I'm doing right now is giving me a paycheck, although it's adding equity to our house, which is good.

I told him about my previous experience there, and he reassured me that I am not obligated to work the crazy hours that they are demanding. He said if I want to leave after 8-9 hours, I have every right to do so. I can stand up for my rights and Appleone will back me up. So that's good, at least.

I told him about the other job situation, just to let him know that I may not be able to complete this assignment. He was cool about it.

Anyway, I am on my lunch break at the moment. I've been priming the walls for painting. One bit of wall needs patched up where the drywall came off, and I cannot for the life of me find the spackle. It's not where Lance said it was. But it's in none of the other logical places either. And I really don't want to paint over areas that need drywall touch-up. I suppose I can skip those areas for now, have Lance help me locate the spackle when he gets home (really, he is the only person who uses it and the last one who has seen it) and then prime those areas once the spackle dries. It usually doesn't take all that long.

Priming isn't taking too long either. Which means painting this area won't be as painful as I thought, although I can't be quite as sloppy with the paint as I am with the primer. Oh, and I hate these paint roller pads that we bought. I grabbed the wrong brand. These suck. I probably need to buy more before we paint anyway. These will work for the primer.
