I have a math test to do for New! Potential! Job!, but considering my earlier upset and my lack of sleep last night, I am too foggy-headed for such things at the moment. And I've always sucked at math besides. I am allowed to use a calculator, but I cannot locate one at the moment. And the one on my computer is too slow to use, as it's a timed test.

(Why a math test? There is no small degree of accounting involved in this job, and obviously that isn't my background.)

So..I have another 22.5 hours to complete it, and it's only 20 minutes long. I think a short nap may be in order first. I must text Lance to ask him if he knows where a calculator is. I downloaded the company's handy study guide for business math, which will supposedly help me with the test. And I have some chores to do...maybe they will clear my head.

I have to vacuum and I just started doing laundry.

But first, nap.

Do you have any idea what kind of math? Just basic adding and percentages? I used to be so good at math in school, I was the nerd that thought calculus and linear algebra were the most fascinating things but give me simple math problems and a timer now and I fail, it's so embarrassing!

Based on the study guide I downloaded, there is some very basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. That doesn't worry me. But there's the algebra. Once I got to algebra, I was hopelessly lost. I only did really well in algebra when I took it for the 2nd time in college. I had it for the first time in high school and barely passed, so I thought I should take it again in college.

YaY! I'm glad that you had something come up so quickly!

I wanted to mention something. Sometimes, I get you confused with another el jay friend I have, who has similar icons. If I'm not watching it, I'll confuse the two of you for a minute, until I realize that what I'm reading is far too positive and productive for it to be her. :X Even when you're really down, you never let yourself sink so low that you end up finding comfort in complaining all the time, and always declaring how horrible your life really is compared to everyone else's.

I never skip your entries becaause of this. You have a great disposition, and I think that once you find the right job, you'll really outdo yourself. :)

Thanks so much for this. It really means a lot to me that you say that. I've never been known for being Suzie Sunshine (I'm too cynical and sarcastic for that), but I always never lose hope. Because everything is lost to me if I lose that.

I just want to hug you for saying this! You made my day!
