It's Spring Snowpocalypse 2008!

And why is it the major news story? How stupid. It's not even accumulating.

Also, what is it with people wearing shorts and t-shirts when it's in the mid-40's outside? THIS IS NOT CANCUN, PEOPLE! Wear something sensible! They were talking to a kid on the news who was dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, and he was complaining about how cold he was.

Really, genius?

Anyway, it's not heavy here yet, but it will be. This front is moving toward us, and it's already snowing pretty heavily in nearby towns.

We're getting it over here, but it melts by the end of the day.

And hey, Miss Warm Weather, 40's *is* shorts weather to those of us from the Pacific Northwest. :D

My sandals have already been worn.

You know, I have discussed this topic with other outsiders. We just don't understand it.

Lance is like this too...being from Minnesota and all, anything above 50 is considered a heat wave, and he wears shorts.

That's fine if you do it, but don't go on the news and complain about how cold you are. HAHA.

We have around 1.5 inches on the ground down here at McChord - and it was a BLIZZARD driving from Kent (we closed on the house, yay!!!)

Woot! Yay house! :D

I haven't seen snow like this since Christmas week. But it'll be gone by Monday at the latest.

I've seen several soldiers walk around in shorts and flip flops here lately. They must have been stationed in Alaska for too long!

I don't care where you live...40 degrees is still cold. I just don't understand it. Sure, it might be warmer than minus 40, but it's still cold.

Even when we had our cold snap here in January (in the teens and 20's), people were out and about in flip flops.
