prosodicI am availing myself of the free internet terminal in the hotel lobby before I have to meet my fellow classmates at 7 this morning.
I'm here in Rochester. I met 2 of my fellow classmates already (one at the airport, where we rode the hotel shuttle together, and then I met her roommate, who has one of the rental cars...they are from Detroit and Chicago, respectively). We went to dinner at Cracker Barrel last night and got acquainted.
I have my very own hotel suite. I share with nobody! HA! It's luxurious and fabulous and I want the kitchen for our house. I have a king-size bed. A fireplace. A living room area. A full kitchen with stainless steel appliances.
The only big issue is the toilet. It overflowed last night and I had to call in the janitor. I wasn't in the room 5 minutes... This morning, it was making odd noises and started running all on its own. The thing is possessed.
Anyway, I'm feeling much better. It's a bit chilly and rainy here in Rochester, but it's supposed to be up near 80 at some point toward the end of the week. But weather.com's forecast changes daily, so who knows?
I've been invited to go to NYC this weekend with one of my classmates. She's taking Amtrack. I'm tempted, but I want to see what others are planning. If there's a trip to Niagara Falls or the Finger Lakes, I would rather do that.
BTW, I will have precious little time to check in, considering all the homework we'll have and the exploring I want to do. Please...if anyone makes any big, important posts, please leave a comment and direct me to it. Thanks.
