prosodicI am DONE with Payroll Specialist School! And there is much rejoicing!!
We have about 3 hours to kill until we have to be at the airport, so we're back at the hotel. Already checked out, but they gave us permission to come hang out for awhile. But we'll probably go to Borders in a bit and hang out there.
The final was okay, I think. Took me about 3 hours to finish, and I know I screwed up a calculation on the final portion of the test. My fractions of cents was off by $68 and some change, which is NOT fractions of cents. However, our instructor said that if this should happen, we only get marked off for getting the math wrong once. We get credit for filling out the forms correctly, even if the numbers are wrong. At that point, I was so close to finishing and so tired of it, and I just didn't care enough to go back and fix whatever caused my calculation to go so completely off. This is extremely tedious work and mentally exhausting, which is also physically exhausting. I should sleep very well tonight.
Heard from one of my coworkers at the branch...she said my schedule for Monday isn't too bad. So I shouldn't have a large number of phone calls, hopefully.
