May. 19th, 2008 06:58 pmI hope to have fewer dog-centric posts soon, but since my entire life (with the exception of work) revolves around her at the moment, you'll have to bear with me.
Lance has to fly this week. This leaves us in a bit of a pickle, as she's still too young to register with Petsmart's doggie daycare and she doesn't have all the required shots. I'm going to have to try and make it home on my lunch to let her out. It takes a minimum of 20 minutes to get to/from. So that leaves me with a window of a maximum of 20 minutes to take her out, play with her, and get her settled back in. Not sure that is manageable.
We have to figure something out.
I am getting her the required shots on Wednesday night, along with microchipping. We have an appointment at an animal hospital around the corner at 6:30 pm.
Just got her pet license sorted out. Now we have to wait a couple weeks to get that in the mail.
Now I better go out and play with her. She hasn't gotten enough of mommy today.
The Kong worked beautifully this morning, btw. She was too preoccupied with it to notice me slip out the door to work, although Lance said when he came home (after he forgot his work ID and came back to get it), she was done with the Kong and keening loudly in her crate.

Date: 2008-05-20 02:31 am (UTC)I know peanut butter is every dog's favorite treat but it's very high in fat and calories. Try to stuff the Kong with some alternatives, such as cream cheese.
Here are some ideas

Date: 2008-05-20 04:01 am (UTC)Sounds like Reece survived her first day just great! She'll be adjusted to her crate in no time. (as for the keening, well, my 14 year old dog still cries when I leave her for too long!!)
