Sep. 18th, 2008 07:54 pmOur Seattle summer is over. At least for today.
It was supposed to get up to 70. It barely reached 60. It was drizzling in the morning, stayed overcast all day, and was generally just depressing, damp and chilly. This is Seattle about 6 months out of the year.
I guess the weekend is supposed to be better. I hope so. We still plan to go to Oktoberfest.
I had a nice, comforting bowl of creamy chicken veggie soup with rice at lunch. I just went to the coffee shop in the building next door and curled up with my book and read. I needed the time alone...to be distracted by my novel...to enjoy the warmth of the yummy soup.
Lunch seemed to last a long time too.
It's been a pretty quiet evening. Reece and I didn't go out on our usual walk. I've been feeling chilled all day and I just wanted to stay home and curl up.
We just finished watching House Hunters. I think I find that show to be more depressing than anything...seeing how much house your money can get you elsewhere in the country, as opposed to here.
