This is so surreal. I mean, four years ago, I heard Barack Obama give a speech at the Democratic National Convention, in support of John Kerry. I looked at Lance and said, "That man will be president someday."

Someday. Four years later.

Amazing. Unbelievable. Tonight, I have never loved my country more and have never been prouder to be an American.

And since McCain just gave his concession speech, it is really starting to sink in now.

Wow. I am stunned.

And yes, for those of you who are on Facebook, I did, literally, bootydance.

I cried. Like a baby. Still can't dance as I'm healing from the surgery, but I did cry kind of a lot.

I didn't cry at all. After he was named as the president, while I was waiting for his speech, I hopped in the shower and sang to myself and danced. And I'm not naturally a joyful person. But I just couldn't help myself. I have hope again. I can believe that anything is possible.
