Sunday Random Tidbits
Nov. 9th, 2008 08:32 amLance and I have to leave here in a couple of hours for the airport. His flight departs at around 1 pm and he'll be getting into Oklahoma round about 8-ish.
We're taking Reece to the airport too so she can see him leave. Otherwise, she'll get me up a few times over the next few nights to go around the house looking for him. This is what I've dealt with in the past, anyway.
We'll just drop him off at departures and be done with it. No sense in hanging around the airport when he'll only be checking in and then going to his gate anyway.
I'll have work to keep me busy this week, and Reece is in day camp everyday. So I hope that means the week will go by relatively quickly and smoothly, and then Lance will be back on Saturday.
Once Lance is gone, I have some housework to do. And I'll have to run errands before I pick up Reece from day camp...I don't like crating her if I can help it, especially since she tore up her crate pad and we don't have anything to lay on the bottom of her crate right now. We're trying to figure out what we can put in her crate that she won't tear up. I thought of a bath mat, but I think she would chew up the rubber. A carpet remnant might work, but we don't have any that would fit in there right now. I really thought she had outgrown this phase where she chews up everything...but she's gone back to doing it again.
Tomorrow after work, I need to stop at Bath and Body Works. My skin has been looking really bad lately, and the products I am currently using for my face aren't working for me anymore. I want to try their cleanser that controls acne and is anti-aging at the same time. It disgusts me that I have the skin of both a teenager and a person in their early 30's who needs to start paying attention to wrinkles. Right now, the acne is what is bothering me the most...my skin is red and bumpy on my chin, around my nose, and on my forehead. But I just look tired and haggard. I mean, I AM tired and haggard, but I don't want to look like I am (and I do around my eyes especially). I have some B&BW discount coupons right now, and Sigga works there for a 2nd job and is raving about this skin care line, so I figured, what have I got to lose? They have a 100% refund on it too, if you don't like it.
I hope Lance and I can get a Costco membership soon. A new Costco just opened up near our house and we keep getting coupons in the mail and special offers for joining. But we need to get some sort of storage set-up in the garage first to hold all the excess stuff. We don't really have any room in the pantry for bulk items, and when we buy stuff at the commissary's case lot sale, I always struggle to find places to put everything.
I have an odd craving for breakfast burritos. I love the combination of scrambled egg, cheese, refried beans, salsa and soft tortilla. Do I have any of these things? No, not really. I have eggs and cheese, and that's about it. I wish I would've thought to get that stuff at the commissary. That would give me a few good dinners for this week too. I suppose I could stop at Target later. I need to find something for Reece's crate anyway.
My class starts on Wednesday. Not sure if I can actually start it on Wednesday though. We have 2 weeks to complete the course modules once they are released (which is every Wednesday and Friday), so I may have to wait until Lance comes home before I start. I need to have time where I can go into the office and be alone, and that's hard to do with a clingy puppy. She's not allowed in the office. And I can't use my laptop for this, because the class requires Windows and I have Ubuntu on my laptop. I'll try to do the online orientation on Wednesday. I'm hoping she'll be tired enough from day camp that she'll nap on the couch and let me do my thing.
